- 1 - 2 pounds green beans
- Salt to taste
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Wash the beans, remove the stem ends. You can cut the beans into 1- inch pieces or leave them whole.
- Add the beans to the boiling water. Boil them uncovered for about 5 - 8 minutes. Take them out and drain them when they are bright green and as tender as you like (taste one).
- Salt to taste and serve.
One pound of green beans make about 4 servings.
